Kuzbass pharmacists propose to grow medicinal plants on recultivated lands
Kemerovo scientists pharmacists and pharmaceutical manufacturers have developed a program of revival of industrial plantations of medicinal plants in the region, including on the subject of reclaiming the waste areas of the mining enterprises.The program was attended by specialists of the four Kuzbass (Kemifst, Kemgma, Kemgu, Kemgskhi) and one Federal – Institute of human ecology SB RAS.
Deputy General Director of JSC “Kemerovo pharmaceutical factory” Alexander Kostelci the journalist of the portal “Mediabusiness”, in the USSR there were more than 20 state farms specializing in the production of vegetable raw materials for the manufacture of drugs, however, with the collapse of the Soviet Union and they were eliminated. However, now all have already understood that this industry is necessary to manufacturers of medications for the lack of own raw materials have to buy it abroad. And this despite our natural wealth. Moreover, in Kuzbass medicinal plant raw material can be produced according to the principle “combining the useful with pleasure” – sowing plants on recultivated lands. Indeed, many useful plant is undemanding to soil quality and procrasturbate not on the earth. For example, growing on poor Northern soils cranberry, blueberry, cowberry. They can be grown by the artificial introduction of the recultivated lands and other lands unsuitable for cultivation of grain, for example. In an economic sense it is also advantageous project new jobs in the region, the lack of dependence on imports and the need to withdraw finances from the country, their involvement in domestic currency.
The final program will soon be discussed in the Kuzbass Technopark. Prepared concept plans to be submitted for approval to the regional administration in mid-February.
